Clipping In: an Intro to Cleats & Pedals

Why would you want to be attached to your bike?

And how would you go about doing it?

THURSDAY 18 February 7pm

Concessionary rates now available!

Join LBK director Jenni Gwiazdowski as she brings you in to the world of clipping in (or for the pedants out there, riding clipless.)

This is an introductory lesson about the two main systems from Shimano: 2 bolt SPDs and 3 bolt SPD-SLs.

We’ll talk about pedals and how to get them off/on your bike.

We’ll talk about getting the right shoes and how to position your cleats, as well as how to adjust them.
We'll go over how to clip in and out, and how to practice.

We will NOT be going over other brands like Speedplay, Look Keos, Crank Brothers, etc.

No tools needed - this is an information sharing session, not a fix-a-long (that would take for-e-ver). We expect this to take 1 hour + live Q&A. Bring questions :)

Thanks to a grant from the Community-Led Organisations Recovery Scheme (CCLORS) we are able to provide subsidised classes for people who are unemployed, low waged, students, and/or OAPs. Our classes are £5 for you.

We also offer a number of free spots for NHS and other key workers. Get in touch if you'd like to join.

1) you register and pay

2) we will send you a link to join the webinar at 10pm the day before

3) make sure you download Zoom to your laptop or phone

4) click the link at the time of your class and enjoy! You will not be visible on camera, so go ahead and show up with no makeup/pants/etc

Covid19 has robbed us of our raison d’être - but we are hungry to teach you how to fix your own bike. So online we go!

We will be using Zoom. I’ve used it in the past for group counselling sessions and the quality is very good. It’s easy to use, but if it’s your first time, pop that cherry by getting to know Zoom a bit before you log into one of our classes. Be sure to download the app for your browser or smartphone beforehand.

(the .01 pence is so that we can easily see which orders are online classes)
